As the year winds down, McNear's gears up for our biggest party of the year. Tommy Castro will again be gracing us with his musical presence and talent in the Mystic Theatre for our New Year's Eve Bash. Balloons will fall and champagne will flow, and the people will dance to his rock'in blues into 2011.
The new year also brings a new virtual face for McNear's Saloon & Dining House! We have launched a new website which integrates our Facebook, Twitter and now blogging presence with all of our menu and banquet information. You can even place your lunch or dinner order online! Use the red circular link on the homepage to try it out!
Another new endeavor to the ever evolving McNear's Restaurant is our added commitment to helping our local Petaluma community. Since July, 2010 the Mystic Theatre has been adding a $1 community fee to all tickets sold for Mystic Theatre concerts. This has earned a substantial amount of money that has been distributed to several worthy causes and charities in Petaluma (a complete list and amounts can be viewed at www.mystictheatre.com). As good as this has been, we felt we could still do more so we are now hosting online auctions to earn money to add to this "Community Fund". Auctions will be held year-round and links to the current auction will be available from www.mcnears.com.
We realize there are many, many worthy organizations out there who desperately need assistance. Our goal, is to start locally; take care of the needs of our community and spread out from there. In time, we hope to be able to reach out to all of Sonoma County.
